REJECT ALL BLOG SPAM!!!

I have recently begun blogging on a series of what i consider serious and important subjects, including world poverty, american politics and international development. It just kills me that someone could take advantage of these opportunities to have significant and relevant discussions to post links to commercial websites on blogs, under the guise of being someone genuinely interested in one's blog.

I am not sure how to rectify this problem. I have started by preventing anonymous comments on my blogs, which at least helps to expose the Blog Spammer. This worked for about a day, and then bam!!, more ads from blog spammers. For now, I am stuck with the task of monitoring my blogs and deleting any Blog Spam. Very tiresome!

I would like to call upon everyone to fight back against blog spam by deleting immediately any such ads in your blogs, WITHOUT visiting the links themselves. At most you might check the profile of the spammer for contact information. But, obviously, checking their links only encourages them to continue.

Thank you for your time.

Pat Robertson the Insane

Today Pat Robertson called for the assassination of President Hugh Chavez of Venezuela.

This is just one more example of why this man needs to be committed to a psychiatric care facility, and by all means removed from the public airwaves. Here are some more examples of his outrageous and clearly paranoid schizofrenic behavior:

Some of Pat Robertson's Infamous quotes

In summary, any and all non Christians (Jews are OK) should basically be exterminated from the planet. This includes homosexuals, who are satanic nazis in disguise, and feminist movement, AKA a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians.

Iraq and Iran

This might be a recurring title, but I just wanted to take a few minutes to express some concerns I have about the state of US affairs in these two countries.

Of course everyone hears about the problems in Iraq on a daily basis. Today I learned, though to no surprise, that the US attempted to influence the January vote by giving a lot of support to Allawi. GASP, say it isn't so! Well, as it turns out, he lost anyway, and instead we are getting what appears to be a new government based, at least in part, on Islamic law. Therefore the once secular government of the castrated dictator Saddam Hussein, will be replaced by an Islamic government. So much for the freedoms we were seeking to bring to that country.

Iran has also been in the media a lot lately for wanting to develop nuclear power, for non-military purposes. They are willing to allow UN inspectors monitor every move they make. That satisfies me, and I have no concerns about this. But of course the Bush administration, the Europeans, and the media cannot accept that this axia of evil country is really a lot less of a terror than we want the public to believe (or that the US is itself). I also learned today, on KPFK, that the US ousted a democratic, freedom loving leader from Iran 52 years ago and installed the Islamic (US Puppet) government of the Shah.

I also learned that the leaders of Iraq and Iran have been meeting to develop cooperative agreements on oil refinement, electricity sharing, police training, and other items to help Iraq get back on it's feet. But wait, isn't that what the US is supposed to be doing? If the US is spending billions of dollars on rebuilding Iraq, why do they need to get this support from Iran?

Does something smell fishy to you?

I say, great! Let them cooperate, get Iraq rebuilt with Iranian assistance so that the US can withdrawl, immediately.

It all sounds good to me

House cleaning....

With my recent flourish of blog creation, i have decided to do some house cleaning. My original blog, Tao of Apu, contained some items that really didn't fit its new image, so i have transferred those over to Apuuli's Rant instead... my apologies to the few that had posted comments there on these posts, that have been lost.

Apuuli's Rant

I seem to have an addiction to blogs... this is #4 for me. My first one, Tao of Apu started as what might have been an Apuuli's Rant blog, but has since evolved into something more appropriate for its name, dealing with global moderation with a current emphasis on World Poverty.

Blog #2, Apuuli for President is sort of a spin off of the original. After the coversion of Tao of Apu, I need someplace for my political discussion. But this too has become a focused venture on what my political platform would be if I were my own political party running for president.

My third blog, World Community Development Blog is intended solely as a forum for members of WCDP to discuss the organizations program related issues. It already bears resemblences to Tao of Apu, but still it is intended for a specific purpose. Links to this blog are being restricted, as are posts and comments to this site, to active members of the WCDP organization.

Thru all of this specialization process, I have lost my original forum for just bitching about whatever it is that is bothering me on any given day. So, today I present Apuuli's Rant. I might have called it Apuuli's Daily Rant, or just Daily Rant, but I didn't want to be expected to complain about something every day.

Today's news (and i mean "today" in a general sense, not the news of Thursday, August 18th, 2005) is full of enticing tidbits to moan about. For example, I just read about a move to relocate African wildlife to the United States "for their own protection". What the hell???

A lot of my inspiration for posts here, and elsewhere, comes from listening to KPFK Radio. I recently was listening to a story about the porn industry in which one of the guests talked about how the movie King Kong is really intended to demonize black men against dating white women. (King Kong, captured from a jungle, shackled aboard a boat and shipped across the ocean to the United States... i think the reference is pretty clear). And since this movie has just been remade, I would like to ask that everyone who reads this boycott this movie... and share this notion with others.

Anyway... I could go on and on. So, for those of you who have any interest, that is what you will find here on a (hopefully) fairly regular basis. So, until the next big issue... which will likely closely coincide to the next time i read the news... peace and blessings to you all!
